From the recording Love Song
Creating music is such a personal and layered journey—and we wanted to share a bit of that process with you. From the earliest songwriting moments—humming melodies, scribbling lyrics, chasing the feeling of a timeless groove—to the magic that happens in the studio, “Love Song” has been a labor of love. There’s something truly magical about watching a song come to life—from a raw idea (at 4AM! ) to a full, soul-drenched production.
Recording this track was all about capturing that Motown-inspired spirit: live rhythm sections, rich background vocals, and a soulful melody you can sing along to. We spent hours tweaking sounds, layering harmonies, and chasing that sweet spot where emotion meets rhythm—where the song just feels right.
Lyrics
LOVE SONG
VERSE 1:
It’s time for some vinyl
As the days ends
Etta & Aretha
Are my old friends
I’m looking for that groove
To sit just right
And have you hold me close
All thru the night
CHORUS:
Let’s put this love song on repeat, yea
And be enveloped in the beat, yea
Ya never know what we will find
When I take your hand in mine
We close our eyes and dance real slow
And hum the melody that we know
The music tapping out our heart-beat
Let’s put this love song on repeat
VERSE 2:
Sometimes it’s classic
As the strings play
Or some times nostalgic
For those big hair days
But good ole romancin’
Is the best time
When rhythm and some blues
All combine
CHORUS
Soli - horn line / vocal improv
2x Chorus
